The Bachelor Degree in Medicine, Bachelor Degree in Surgery (MBBS) programme focuses on preparing students with extensive knowledge in medical sciences and clinical skills, to produce qualified and competent medical professionals who are equipped for the latest practices and developments in the industry. Our MBBS curriculum places a strong emphasis on clinical training in medicine and surgery. The programme is structured into two phases:

Phase 1 (Year 1 & 2) focuses on the fundamental knowledge of medical sciences with exposure to clinical medicine. Students will be taught history taking and physical examination techniques using both simulated patients and models, where they will learn to identify patients’ problems and propose investigation plans for the patients.


Phase 2 (Years 3 – 5) involves clinical rotations at designated hospitals from the Ministry of Health, where students will gain hands-on experience with patients. During this phase, students are rotated in all clinical disciplines required for undergraduate training including Internal Medicine, Surgery and Intensive Care among many others.
